The ancient kingdom of Ipokia in Ogun State has been plunged into mourning following the sudden transition of its highly revered traditional ruler. HRM Oba Yisa ‘Sola Adeniyi Olaniyan (JP), the 46th Onipokia of Ipokia Kingdom, has joined his ancestors. The first-class monarch passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at St. Luke’s Hospital in downtown Houston, Texas, at the age of 55. According to sources, Oba Olaniyan had been in the United States for several months receiving medical attention. The Executive Chairman of Ipokia Local Government, Hon. Johnson Akohomeh Avoseh, participated in a Joint Security Meeting between representatives of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the Republic of Benin held at the Idiroko–Igolo, Conference Room, Border Area. The meeting brought together security agencies from both countries, the Mayor of Ifonyin Municipality, and other key stakeholders to deliberate on strengthening cross-border cooperation in addressing emerging security challenges affecting communities along the Nigeria–Benin border corridor. Participants expressed concern over the growing incidence of transnational crimes, including smuggling, kidnapping, drug trafficking, human trafficking, illegal migration, and other criminal activities. Discussions centred on the need for enhanced intelligence gathering, effective information sharing, community vigilance, and stronger collaboration among security agencies to improve security across the border region....

Balogun Daniel, has facilitated the delivery of brand-new wooden desks and benches to the pupils of Community Primary School, Okeosa-Ilase. The timely donation aims to provide a more comfortable and conducive learning environment for the children, moving them away from inadequate seating arrangements to a structured classroom setting .  The Presentation Ceremony The educational materials were formally delivered and presented to the school by a three-man delegation sent by the Councillor, consisting of: Comr.
