Update: Over 5000 Imeko-Afon Youths Endorse Yayi, GNI, JAMSALOD For 2027 Elections

The youths of Imeko-Afon Local Government have overwhelmingly endorsed Engineer Ogundele Jamiu Odunayo, MNSE, popularly known as JAMSALOD, as their preferred candidate for the Ogun State House of Assembly ahead of the 2027 elections. The peaceful endorsement rally, which attracted over 5000 youths from various communities across Imeko/Afon, commenced from Obada, moved through Afon, and concluded at the Local Government Headquarters in Imeko. The youths used the occasion to publicly declare their support for JAMSALOD while firmly rejecting the proposed “4th Term Agenda” allegedly being promoted by certain individuals.  As part of the rally activities, the youths paid courtesy visits to several traditional rulers across Imeko/Afon Local Government. Youth Urge Akingbade to Step Aside for Fresh Representation in Imeko-Afon

Youth representatives in Imeko-Afon Local Government have made a passionate appeal to Hon. Jemili Adigun Akingbade, urging him to reconsider his reported intention to seek a fourth term in the Ogun State House of Assembly. In an open letter released on Wednesday, the group praised Akingbade’s long-standing contributions to the development of the local government since its creation in 1996. They highlighted his political journey from councillor under the old Egbado North, to Local Government Caretaker Chairman, Commissioner in the Local Government Service Commission, and his three consecutive terms in the State Assembly.
